To this day, I still remember a documentary I watched as a kid.

It was a story about how volunteers from Doctors without Borders helped poverty-stricken kids regain their sight. The smiles of the children and volunteers will always be the brightest light of my memory.

Working for CTF has given me the opportunity to meet so many people who shine in their professional fields and brighten the world around them. I feel very fortunate to join them in making the world a better place.

I share the CTF belief in supporting those with caring hearts and noble character, and feel inspired to work diligently to help create a more caring society.

It’s been 15 years since I started with CTF as a field officer, and I can’t image my life without our Caring Heart Club kids. I continue to feel inspired by Mr. Tang’s spirit, and find a lot of meaning in my work with the young people to help create a more caring society.

Working at the Foundation gives me the opportunity to support the work of the world’s passionate changemakers. Their vision and determination continually inspire me to seek out new ways to look at a problem, do the work and be a proactive part of creating the world we want to live in.

After becoming a CTF field officer in early 2021, my understanding of Mr. Tang and the Foundation has deepened through interactions with our Caring Heart Club students. The kids love and support one another like family. They make me feel younger, and help me find more and more meaning in what I do to help further CTF’s mission of creating a more caring society.

Having worked for Mr. Cyrus Tang for 20+ years, I have had the privilege of seeing the CTF evolve and change over time. I did not start out aspiring to a career in non-profit work, but was inspired by the many people Mr. Tang has personally effected as well as those the Foundation has supported. The realization that anyone (including myself) can work towards making the world a more caring place, in whatever way they could, was life changing for me. The CTF has given me an opportunity to pursue this sense of purpose in ways I could have never imagined. I am always amazed at what some of the Foundation programs and people are able to accomplish and I carry equal parts: hope for the future and joy that the Foundation was able to contribute in some small way.

An update will follow.

My work at the Foundation has exponentially increased my own sense of social responsibility. Through CTF, I hope to make a sincere effort to do more good for the society.

I feel energized and find more meaning, when working with young people to be of service to others and give back to society.

The little things happening in the big Tang family constantly inspire and touch me, allowing me to work and live with a grateful heart.

The quote I love the most is “Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain”. By working in the foundation, I shall keep this belief to make the world better, little by little.

To me, what’s most special about working for the Foundation in today’s materialistic world is that we think deeply about what society truly needs, and help solve problems to better others, instead of trying to meet increasing production or sales targets.

Being able to work closely with Mr. Tang gave me firsthand insight into his passion for creating real impact through the willingness to try different things. Working for the Foundation now gives me the opportunity to help carry out Mr. Tang’s legacy and wish of creating a more caring society.

I am honored to be part of the CTF movement to promote community service, to give back, and to help create a more caring and harmonious society.

To me, working for CTF is more than just a job. My 16 years at the Foundation have enriched my life and soul, opened my eyes and heart, and stopped me from idling and wasting my time away. Learning from Mr. Tang on higher and broader dimensions, I’ve gotten the opportunity to realize the true value of my life, to help and love others, and to make the world a better place!

At the age of 60, I still feel young at heart, thanks to watching our Caring Heart Club kids grow for the past 22 years. I continue to be inspired by Mr. Tang’s spirit of great love, and energized by the nickname “Mama Zeng” the kids gave me.

I love being a part of the big and warm Tang family! The CTF team, from leadership to staff, makes a collective effort in ensuring our work gets done in the best possible way, and I really enjoy this loving and collegial work environment. The work I do for the Foundation gives me a deep sense of contentment and achievement – every time I see a student, teacher, or project team excitedly share their personal success stories, I feel that every effort I make is meaningful and worthwhile.

My work at the Foundation continuously presents me with new challenges that push me to keep learning. The big Tang family keeps me motivated, fulfilled, and happy!
